We were looking for a place to eat on a very quiet Friday evening in Berwick upon Tweed. It was our first visit and there didn't seem to be much on offer. We saw the entrance to the Royal Garden and decided to at least have a look, expecting an average take-away with a few tables. We were pleasantly surprised to see a good crowd of people in a tastefully decorated restaurant and the lovely aroma enticed us to take a seat.
